SEW IFMA August Newsletter 
President's Message
Dear SEW IFMA Members,
I hope you are all enjoying the peak of summer! It was great connecting with so many of you over the past month, especially on the water for our Milwaukee River Pontoon Cruise. A big thank you to everyone who came out and made that sold-out afternoon such a memorable success.
As we move through August, our chapter’s dedication to giving back to southeastern Wisconsin remains in full swing. On August 11th, our volunteers spent the afternoon serving at the Kinship Community Food Center in Milwaukee. I want to extend a sincere thank you to everyone who stepped up to donate their time and energy to support our neighbors in need.
Looking ahead, we have two major dates coming up on the calendar that you will want to lock in:
· 32nd Annual Ken Laga Memorial Golf Outing: September 2nd is right around the corner! We will be gathering at Ironwood Golf Course in Sussex for one of our chapter's favorite annual traditions, which directly funds our chapter scholarship program. There are only a limited number of foursomes left and several sponsorship opportunities still open. Head over to the SEW IFMA website to register your team or secure a sponsorship before they sell out!
· Hunger Task Force Farm Service Day: Mark your calendars for September 10th from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. We will be out at the farm in Franklin harvesting fresh produce. It’s a rewarding, hands-on way to make a tangible impact in our local community, and we’d love to have a strong turn-out from our members.
As always, the strength of SEW IFMA comes down to member involvement. In addition to our golf outing sponsorships, we also have a few vacant committee chair positions available. Serving on a committee requires just a few hours a month and is one of the best ways to expand your professional network and help shape our chapter's direction.
If you are interested in joining a committee or bringing forward ideas for upcoming facility tours and educational sessions, please feel free to reach out to me or any member of the Board.
Thank you for your ongoing support, engagement, and commitment to our community. I look forward to seeing many of you at Ironwood on September 2nd!

Silent Auction: During November, SEW IFMA Service Committee will be reaching out to solicit donations for the silent auction held during our Holiday Party. If your company is interested in donating or participating in the silent auction, please reach out directly ([email protected] or [email protected]).
BidBeacon will go-live on Friday, December 4, the Friday before the holiday party. We will provide the BidBeacon link at that time so guests can view items and place their bids.
