President's Message
Dear SEW IFMA Members,
Welcome to October!
As fall sets in across southeastern Wisconsin, I want to take a moment to reflect on a wonderful September. A big thank you to everyone who joined us in Franklin for our Hunger Task Force Farm Service Day. Our hands-on team had a fantastic time harvesting fresh produce for our local community, continuing our long-standing chapter tradition of making a meaningful impact together.
The energy and momentum across our chapter continue to grow as we move into a busy autumn season. Looking at our upcoming calendar, we have some phenomenal opportunities to connect, give back, and expand our industry knowledge:
· Service Event: Milwaukee Rescue Mission (October 8th | 3:45 PM – 6:00 PM) Join us this Thursday at the Milwaukee Rescue Mission (830 N. 19th Street, Milwaukee) to serve meals and support those in need in our community. Registration is open on our website—we’d love to see another strong SEW IFMA turnout!
· Fire Safety Event at JM Brennan (October 22nd | 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM) Later this month, we are excited to gather at JM Brennan (2101 W. St. Paul Ave, Milwaukee) for a focused educational session on critical life safety systems, facility protection, and operational best practices. Be sure to register online to save your spot.
· Facility Tour & Happy Hour at Innovative Signs (November 11th | 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM) Looking ahead to November, save the date for a behind-the-scenes facility tour and networking happy hour at Innovative Signs in Waukesha (21700 Doral Rd). Registration details are now live on the website.
· SEW IFMA Holiday Party & Silent Auction (December 9th | 4:30 PM – 7:30 PM) Mark your calendars for our premier winter celebration at The Bucyrus Club in South Milwaukee! Featuring our Service Committee’s signature silent auction, it’s always a highlight of the year.
As always, the true heartbeat of SEW IFMA is active member involvement. Beyond attending our educational sessions and service projects, I encourage you to consider stepping up to serve on one of our committees. Filling a committee position requires just a few hours each month, yet it remains one of the most rewarding ways to expand your professional network, share your expertise, and help shape the future direction of our chapter.
If you are interested in joining a committee or have ideas for future facility tours and educational topics, please reach out to me or any member of the Board.
Thank you for your continued dedication, support, and active engagement in our chapter. I look forward to seeing many of you out at the Milwaukee Rescue Mission and JM Brennan this month!

Silent Auction: During November, SEW IFMA Service Committee will be reaching out to solicit donations for the silent auction held during our Holiday Party. If your company is interested in donating or participating in the silent auction, please reach out directly ([email protected] or [email protected]).
BidBeacon will go-live on Friday, December 4, the Friday before the holiday party. We will provide the BidBeacon link at that time so guests can view items and place their bids.
